Aston Villa has been frequent users of the CryoAction rental cryotherapy chambers since 2017, the club has decided to purchase their own transportable cryotherapy unit, allowing Villa players to integrate the modality as part of their standard recovery regimen.
The club purchased a 3-4 person Transportable unit was purchased on the recommendation of the club’s captain James Chester who had used a similar chamber while on international duty with the Wales national team (FAW).
The transportable cryotherapy chamber was installed at Aston Villa’s Bodymoor Training camp and it was is located immediately opposite the 1st team gymnasium, allowing immediate and access by the players.
The CryoAction team have been absolutely superb and the installation along with the ongoing aftercare has been fantastic. The unit has been great and the players use it as one of their main recovery strategies, especially during the hectic schedule.
