After positive feedback from layers after visiting a cryo centre in Dubai during pre-season camp as well as witnessing the low injury levels at Leicester City the previous season, AFC Bournemouth was keen to incorporate cryotherapy at the training ground as a regular recovery modality. and contacted CryoAction.
The current Doctors room was identified as the most suitable location for the built-in, fixed 2-3 person cryotherapy chamber. After successful site visits with our partners BOC to ascertain and confirm the most efficient pipework route from the external vessel to the cryotherapy chambers technical room, work began on the chamber installation.
The complete cryotherapy chamber installation took 10 days (2 days ahead of schedule) and CryoAction was off-site after 12 days having carried out all testing and importantly having conducted the training to all designated AFC Bournemouth staff.
